Ethical and Environmental Committee

The Ethical and Environmental Committee was a regular forum that facilitated discussion on a wide range of universityand college specific issues; notable highlights from last year have included an introduction from Cambridge City Council Recycling Officer Gill Lee, coordinating an action for the NUS day of action on Climate Change and the conception of a new College Green Officer guide.

Anyone is welcome to come along, particularly College Green Officers, the CUSU Ethical Affairs Officers (Emilia and Steve | ethical-chair@cusu.ac.uk) and the EEC elected officers.

EEC meetings occur every other week during term time on Weeks 1, 3, 5 and 7 on Tuesdays at 7pm. For the schedule of EEC meetings go to the events section of the website.

While we still do all this, the EEC as an entity has passed on.

An old agenda of the next EEC

Michaelmas: EEC IV

Tuesday 20th November, 5pm | The Munby Room, King's Colege

We will be discussing ethical food — come along to find out how the college purchasing system works, what the issues are, and get involved with ideas and planning events for our new campaign (launching next term). Should be exciting.

We only have the room till 6pm so please be on time: meeting is guaranteed not to be more than an hour and since it's last one before Christmas I might even bring some mince pies and mulled wine... miss it, miss out 'n all that...

To submit items for the agenda, or ideas for a theme or speaker, email Dan or Christine [ethical-chair@cusu.ac.uk].
